The Journault-Jourplex double leaf "RD" model is designed for larger openings to allow the passage of large equipment through the roof thus responding to different applications. Covers with openings exceeding 2134 mm (84") in width shall be made of aluminum for ease of operation.
.Provide a double leaf roof hatch type "RD" as manufactured by Journault-Jourplex inc. and install at the location indicated on the plans. Covers shall be 14 gauge satin galvanized steel. Insulation shall be 25 mm (1") thick fiberglass fully covered and protected by a 16 gauge satin galvanized steel cover.
The frame shall be made of steel with a minimum of two layers of insulation.
The frame shall be shaped from 14-gauge satin galvanized steel and 305 mm (12") high insulated with 25 mm (1") thick fiberglass. It shall have a water discharge in its upper part and a 102 mm (4") fastening flange in its lower part. The roof hatch shall be primed (standard on satin galvanized steel).
